Holden Heirs to Ira Holden: This indenture made and entered into this the 21st day of Dec. 1893 between T. A. Moss and his wife Amanda Moss, formerly Holden of Clay County N.C., A. P. Holden, M. M. Beck, Harriett E. Morgan, M. M. Few, M. E. Brown, A. L. Bulgin, Harriett E. Holden for herself and as guardian for William and Robert Holden and Jane Perrie, parties of the first part and Ira Holden, party of the second part, of Rabun County of the State of Georgia, Witnesseth, That the said parties of the first for and in consideration of the sum of $1600.00 Sixteen hundred dollars to them in hand paid at and before the sealing and delivery of these presents, the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged, doth grant, bargain, sell and convey unto the said party of the second part his heirs and assigns, all rights, title and interest that we have or may have in the land estate of William Holden deceased, also all interest in said lands that we have or may have in the one undivided interest of W. N. Holden adjudged insane and now confined in the Georgia State asylum in the lands described as follows: Commencing at the west end of a dug road on the bank of the river at the rock corner of V. F. and Sarah Holden, thence up the dividing ridge with conditional line to the original line of lot Number twenty eight (28), thence north with said original line to the N. E. corner of said lot, thence west with the original line to the N.W. corner, thence S. with the original line to the S.W. corner, thence east with the original line to the southeast corner, thence up the river to the beginning corner, being all of lot No. 28 and part of lot No. 27 containing 560 acres, more or less, said lands lying and being in the Third land district of Rabun County. And we the makers hereof hereby reserve unto ourselves all mineral interest that we have or may have in said lot of land No. 28 west of the public road, known as the Long Bottom Road, leading from Walhalla S. C. to Highlands N. C. with privileges of wood, water and land for mining purposes only.
To have and hold said lands in as full and complete a manner as the same was ever held by said William Holden in his lifetime and the title to above described land unto the said Ira Holden his heirs and assigns, we will forever warrant and defend by virtue of these presents.
