John Martin } State of Georgia Rabun County
to } This Indenture made this the 17 Day of
W. M. Carver} November 1879, between John Martin of the first
part, and W. M. Carver of the second part
Witnesseth that the said John Martin for and
in Consideration of the sum of fifty Dollars to him
in hand paid by W. M. Carver the receipt of which is
hereby acknowledged has remised[?], released Granted,
bargained, sold and forever quit claimed and by
these presents does remise[?], release Grant, bargain and sell
and quit claim unto the said W. M. Carver his heirs
and assigns part of a certain lot of land situate [sic]
and lying in the fourth Dist. of said County Containing
three Hundred and forty acres more or less, being
the west part of said lot Commencing at the Corner near
the ford of licklog running South to the top of the Ridge
near the line Gap branch thence down the top
the dividing ridge the Conditional line to Licklog
near the north of the line Gap branch thence
down said licklog to U.S.[?] &[?] Demy's line thence north to the
Conditional line thence running the Conditional
line to the original line thence West the original
line to the corner known in the plan of said
County as lot number 67 sixty seven in said Dist.
to have and to hold said premises with all the
privileges and appurtenances thereto pertaining to
W. M. Carver his heirs and assigns so that neither
the said John Martin his heirs nor any person or
persons claiming[?] under him shall at any
time hereafter have claim or demand[?] any
right or title to the aforesaid premises or appurtenances
or to any part or parcel thereof In witness whereof
the said John Martin has hereunto set his hand and
seal the day and year above written
