Marriage Database

We are working to implement a marriage database for this site, where researchers can submit individual marriage records from various primary sources. Examples of primary sources would be the original marriage license or the county marriage books. The online indexes are not a primary source; please do not use them to submit records to this database. Secondary sources will be considered on a case by case basis. Examples of secondary sources are Bible records, family histories (oral or written), or pension applications. You must include a source!!! Marriages from 1819 to 1940 will be accepted, as long as the individuals are no longer living. Following is a rough guideline of the information needed. If you are interested in submitting information to the database, please e-mail me.

• Source and page number
• Bride and Groom
• License date (where applicable)
• Marriage date
• Person who performed the marriage
• Submitter's full name and e-mail address
