Directions: From the corner of W. Main St. and Bryson City Road in downtown Franklin, take Hwy. 28 (Bryson City Rd.) toward Swain County. Go 9.8 miles. Turn right onto Oak Grove Church Road. Go 4/10 mile. Turn right onto Lakey Creek Road. Go 1.3 miles. Turn left onto a narrow gravel drive which is directly opposite the entrance to Clark Road (on the right side of Lakey Creek Rd.). You'll see the sign: Lakey Methodist Cemetery.

Frederick Burnett, born May 11, 1770 Meherrin Parish, Brunswick Co., VA, died July 9, 1854 Macon Co., NC, husband of Margaret "Peggy" Null (1780 - 1875 buried Buncombe Co., NC); submitted by Roger Burnett.
