The Revolutionary War
Below you'll find a list of men who lived in Macon Co., NC and who gave service in the American Revolutionary War. Obviously, they moved into the Macon County area well after the War ended, but most of them lived out the remainder of their lives here and left many descendants who still live in the area.
The names of these men were taken from several sources, namely the 1840 census of Macon County, research of their descendants, the 1835 Pension List, and rejected pension claims. Some of the men may have later been in Cherokee Co., NC.
Documentation on these individuals is needed. If you would like to contribute records or submit a biography on one of the soldiers, please e-mail me.
