It appearing to my satisfaction that Reuben Beasley late of Macon County, is [dec'd], died without leaving any last will & Testament and Joseph Beasley having this day made application for letters of Administration on his estate (the written renunciation of Jane Beasley widow of said deceased having been filed in writing) and having tendered a good and sufficient bond in the sum of Three hundred dollars, the said Joseph Beasley is duly qualified as administrator on said deceased estate.

Letters of Administration are issued.

I John S. Gibson Justice of the Peace after being notified proceeded to summon M. J. Mashburn and J. W. Sheffield, to go to Jane Beasley widow of Reuben Beasley, Dec'd, and proceeded to lay off and allot to said widow, Jane Beasley one years allowance.

Found her family to consist of no other person but herself entitled to the benefit of the law in such cases made & provided.

Whereupon we laid off the following articles at the prices annexed thereto, viz:

We the undersigned do certify that the foregoing is a true statement of the articles and prices set apart by us to Jane Beasley.

I Joseph Beasley as administrator on the estate of Reuben Beasley Dec'd have entered into and upon the premises of said deceased and find the following properties viz: 3 Beds & furniture for the same, 1 wash Pot, 1 Dinner Pot, 1 Tea kettle & 2 Baking Ovens, 1 Table & furniture; Farming Tools, 1 Plow, 2 Hoes, 2 old axes, 1 set of Traces, 1 pr Hames, 1 [clew?] & single tree Irons, 1 Scythe Blade, 1 old shovel, Corn on hand at the death of the deceased 30 Bushels, Bacon 40 lbs

Wheat 7 1/2 Bu., 1 Bu. of Rye, 9 Bee Hives & 12 Gal. Honey used and on hand, 3 Head of Cattle, 1 Bell, 18 Hed of Hogs, 6 Head of sheep, 1 Horse Bridle & saddle, about 45 Bu. of standing corn, 7 chairs, 4 wooden vessels, 1 spinning wheel, 1 Loom, 3 Books & 2 pocket books, 1 Pocket Knife; Mining Tools, 1 Hammer, 2 picks, 1 Drill and [this space left blank] lbs of Powder; Mechanical Tools on hand, Saw, Drawing knife, three old Augers, 1 Hammer, 1 Jack Plaine, Scribing Compass, 1 note of hand in favor of the estate against Henry Ramsey & his wife Lucinda for $25.00 dated 5th December 1879, due one day after date.
