Rock Hill, York County, South Carolina
Rock Hill is located in north central South Carolina just off Interstate 77, about 15 miles below the North Carolina border and 25 miles south of downtown Charlotte. It is the largest city in York County and the fifth largest city in South Carolina.

Origion of name:  Railroad construction crews came upon a small flinty hill in 1852, the location of what is now Rock Hill. 2004 population: 57,902
