Mrs. Lyle Cochrane and son, Mrs. Robert Mommer were dinner guests at Frank Wookeys Wednesday and spent the afternoon. Mr. and Mrs. Henry Decker and Clifford spent Sunday afternoon at his folks. Mr. Charles Stacey and Howard delivered sheep at Fred Bartons near Bradley Monday afternoon. Mr. Morrison and sons called at the Dee Harmon home Sunday evening to see Blanche. We are glad to hear that she is getting along fine. Mr. and Mrs. Bob Gavin called at the Erwin Schultz home Monday evening. Mrs. Lena Stevens and Mildred called at Jim Stevens Tuesday. Mr. and Mrs. Ray Paul and Helen Hess were dinner guests last Tuesday at Matt Hess’s and then left that evening from Elrod for home. Helen is going home with her aunt for an extended visit. Mr. and Mrs. Howard Stacey and Elaine, Mr. and Mrs. Henry Decker and Clifford were business callers in Watertown Saturday afternoon. Mr. and Mrs. Frank Wookey and sons were dinner guests at Ralph Wookey's Sunday then in the afternoon they all called at the Carl Monteik home. Charley Blackman seeded rye for Frank Wookey Thursday and Friday. |
Misses Esther and Joy Aalseth of Mitchell and two friends spent Saturday night and Sunday at Robert Mommers. They brought Mr. and Mrs. Oliver Aalseth’s two children with them to spend some time with their grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Blackman. Thursday Mr. and Mrs. Ralph Wookey took dinner with Mr. and Mrs. Frank Wookey. Frank Wookey called at the Morrison home Monday afternoon. Mrs. Phipps and children and Fred Meek spent Tuesday evening at Ervin Schultz's. George Adams and family, Howard Stacey and family and Ervin Schultz and family were Sunday dinner guests at the Charles Stacey home to help Mr. Stacey celebrate his birthday. The birthday cake was a fruit cake prettily decorated. Mrs. Lee Hess entertained the Friendship Club last Thursday. A pleasant afternoon was spent with playing progressive whist with Mr. and Mrs. Howard Stacey, Mrs. Phipps and Mrs. Hickey receiving prizes. At the close of the afternoon a delicious lunch was served. Mr. and Mrs. Ed Mommer and son Frank and Mr. and Mrs. John Mommer spent Friday afternoon until Sunday afternoon at the Robert Mommer home. |
