Miss Hazel Parsloe and Miss Marjorie Caldwell of this city spent from Friday until Sunday at Brookings. Mr. and Mrs. C. H. Holverson of Watertown were Sunday guests at the Ordien Lein home in this city. Miss Irene Ferguson of this city spent Saturday and Sunday with her sister, Mrs. Paul Ronspriess, at Huron. Carl Backama of Raymond is convalescing from a severe case of pneumonia. Earline Anderson who is attending Nettleton College in Sioux Falls. was home over the week end. Jim Ritchie who has been away for sometime returned to his home in this city Monday. Mrs. Al Buelow of this city entertained her Sunday school class to a party Friday afternoon after school. Mr. and Mrs. Norman Berg of this city visited with Mrs. Berg’s parents near Milbank Sunday. Mr. Robert Sproat, former representative from Bradley was a Clark caller Monday evening. Mr. and Mrs. Frank Kurth and son were here from Eau Claire, Wisconsin to attend the funeral of his brother, C. F. Kurth, Friday. The Catholic Ladies held their first card party Thursday evening. High prizes were awarded to Marge Brage, John Beavuvais and Tony Klinkhammer. Mr. and Mrs. Luther Clark and son and Mrs. Walter Pareter of Watertown were Sunday visitors at the J. W. Mr. and Mrs. George Draisey of Mitchell, South Dakota, returned to her home Monday after attending the funeral of Mrs. Francis Mills. Mr. John Newman who has been attending the annual county agents meeting at Brookings returned to his home in this city Saturday nite. Mr. and Mrs. Glenn Kane of Lemmon, South Dakota, are the parents of a lO lb. baby boy. Mrs. Kane was formerly Miss Olive Winner. Mr. and Mrs. C. J. LeCount of Villard, Minnesota were visitors at the home of their daughter, Mrs. Rudolph Rasmussen from Friday until Monday. Mr. and Mrs. Art Gerhardt of Raymond are the proud parents of a baby girl born Saturday, October 27th at the Mable Stacey home. Mrs. Ray Murphy. Miss Lela Gunderson, Miss Lois Thrasher, and Miss Wilda Bickel of Elrod were Clark shoppers Monday. Alice Manning of this city left for Huron Sunday where she will take training as demonstrator for the Northwestern Public Service Company. Mr. and Mrs. R. C. Livingston of Pierre arrived in Clark after spending 10 days at the World’s Fair. They left for their home Tuesday. Mr. and Mrs. Charles Mills left for their home at Mitchell Monday after spending sometime here during the illness and death of his mother, Mrs. Frank Mills. Mr. and Mrs. Charles Weiland of Ashton, South Dakota, a neice and nephew of Mrs. C. F. Kurth, attended the funeral of Mr. Kurth of this city Friday. Leland Hurlbut from Watertown and Robert Hurlbut of Castlewood were visiting with their parents, Mr. and Mrs. Lew Hurlbut of this city over the week end. Visitors with Miss Mae Myers of Clark on Saturday and Sunday were her mother, Mrs. Nick Myers and two brothers, Raymond and Christ of Miller, South Dakota. Mr. and Mrs. Rolln Duyree and Mr. Erie Foss of this city motored to Huron Sunday. He is returning with his family Tuesday. They will occupy the Charley Evans home in the south part of town. A group of Catholic ladies of the Altar Society will sponsor a card party in the basement of the Catholic Church on next Thursday night, November 8th at 8 o’clock. Prizes will be given. Admission 15 cents. All are invited. Mr. and Mrs. E. F. Voss drove to Brookings for Hobo Day also to meet Mrs. Voss’ sister and brother in law, Mr. and Mrs. J. A. Fergusson of Worthington, Minn. Mr. and Mrs Fergusson returned with them and spent the week end here. Mr. Howard Stewart of Huron was a visitor at the home of his parents, Mr. and Mrs. George Stewart in this city Sunday.
