ANNA M. HUBBARD
Anna M. Hubbard was born on October 23, 1884 to James and Jennie Kerr in Tomah, Wis.
The family came to South Dakota in 1885, and lived on a farm south of Turton. Fourteen years later they moved to Turton where Anna attended school and grew to womanhood. In 1902 she was united in marriage to Fred A. Schultz at Doland, S. D. They then farmed south of Turton until 1908, when they moved to a farm southeast of Conde. They farmed here until 1935 when Mr. Schultz passed away. With the help of the family she continued farming until 1940 when she married John Wesley Hubbard at Clark. They farmed until 1947 when they moved to Clark where they lived until Mr. Hubbard passed away in 1964. She then spent the rest of her life in Clark residing with her son.
She was baptized and confirmed In the United Methodist Church, and was an active member. She also was a member of the Rebekah Lodge 101 in Clark.
Anna M. Hubbard passed away in Watertown, S. D. on Sunday, October 27, 1974 at the age of 90 years and 4 days.
She is survived by two sons, Glenn Schultz of Huron, and Leonard Schultz of Clark; two daughters, Mrs. Pete (Gladys) Bymers of Raymond, and Mrs. Alva (Genevieve) Liberty of Conde; one stepson, Loyal Hubbard of Denver, Colo.; two step-daughters, Mrs. Gleo (Helen) Stewart of The Dalles, Ore., and Mrs. Jack (Aveline) Karber of Clark; one sister, Mrs. Nellie Bymers of Ellendale, N. D.; 13 grandchildren; 34 great grandchildren; two great great grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews and cousins.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husbands, Mr. Schultz and Mr. Hubbard; two sons and a brother.
