Want an actual experience? Take Bill Wordemann, formerly of Bon Homme County. Bill had always rented. He couldn't buy that high-priced land. He bought a hallf section from us, put up a small barn, and a granary to live in at first, and immediately refused a profit of $9600.00 on the land.

Next year he raised an average of 15 ½ bu. of flax per acre, 20 of wheat, 45 of barley, 90 of oats and 40 of corn. (Part of it shown above.) He also raised the modern bungalow shown (at the top of this page). Not bad for the first year. Tell bill Bon Homme beats Potter— but start running when you do.
