Tennessee Local History
Network History

Compiled by Darlene Anderson

webmaster 2002-April 18, 2004

Darlene Anderson is the former webmaster of the Tennessee Local History Network. The shortened version of the name is TNLHN. The TNLHN will be used often on this web site and associated web pages.

If you have visited the TNLHN Web Site in the past few months you know there have been many changes as to the "look and feel" of what you see when you click on one of my pages. Once again, the TNLHN is going through a major over-haul. {New Webmaster April 19, 2004}  The information on this web site is geared towards the county level; my goal in the months ahead will be to add links to web sites with county data, information about families from each of the Tennessee counties and historical information. There will be links to information located on web sites other than the TNLHN, and links to TNLHN web sites pertaining to each individual Tennessee county. If you have such a website please send me your web page link. If you would like to volunteer as the coordinator for a Tennessee county please let me know. You may read the Guidelines and Requirements about coordinating a TNLHN county on this page. [April 2004]

Fred Smoot founded the Tennessee Local History Network September 2001. The TNLHN continues as a direct descendant of Fred's inspiration, and those who formed the original ALHN Tennessee for the great state of Tennessee. [April 2004, Sharon McCormack]

This Tennessee Local History Network site is the direct descendent of the original American Local History Network Tennessee site, founded by Mary Floy Katzman. With additional content added by David Donahue. [September 2001, Fred Smoot]
