Whatley Holiness Church Cemetery is located in Citronelle, Mobile County, Alabama. Directions from Bel Air Mall, Mobile, AL. Depart Bel Air Mall on Bel Air Blvd (North) and travel .2 miles. Turn LEFT (West) onto Airport Blvd and travel .6 miles. At I-65 Exit 1/Airport Blvd turn RIGHT (North) onto I-65 and travel 4.8 miles. At I-65 Exit 8/US-45 turn LEFT (North-West) onto US-45 [SR-17] and travel 23.3 miles. Turn LEFT (West) onto Sand Ridge Rd. and travel 4.0 miles and turn left parking lot. The cemetery is to the left of the church. Total route is 32.5 miles.
There is no enclosure. A few large trees are scattered through the area. This listing is complete as of May 02, 2001, when I surveyed the cemetery and recorded these tombstones. There are 21 visible marked graves and one unmarked infant grave. This cemetery is not a perpetual care site and is maintained by surviving loved ones of those intered and members of the church.
A Verbal history given by Rodney R. Malone. "Dan E. Whatley started that church and cemetery. All that property belonged to him." Dan Whatley was Rodney malone's great uncle.
