Clark co, S/O Jesse H. and Mary Eckle Williams. He attended country
schools, including Nescatunga Country School. A lifetime resident of
Comanche County, he was manager of the Protection Co-op Locker Plant in
Protection for 31 years, also working for Briggs Ranch and selling produce
from his garden.
He belonged to Coldwater United Methodist
Church, the National Frozen Food Locker Association, was past president of
Kansas Frozen Food Locker Association and was past president of the Bit
and Spur Club in Protection.
On Oct. 22, 1937, he married Ruby Newton in
Lakin. In May of 1964, he married Winnie Hall in Wichita. Both preceded
him in death. He was preceded in death by a daughter, Faye Brooks; four
sisters, an infant sister, Alene Maris, Evelyn Hanger and Katheryn McLean;
five brothers, George, Albert, Francis, Wayne and Glenn Williams; and
three great-grandchildren.
