She married Abram A. Deck at Meade. He died Oct. 17, 1956. She was preceded in death by a brother, Fred "Fritz" Voigt; a half-brother, Wilhelm Bremer; and a sister, Anna Bitner.
Denton, Ralph E. 6-25-1933 9-25-2005 b. Meade ks meade co, d. Fredonia ks Wilson co, S/O Joseph E. and Abbie Laura Berghaus Denton. He was raised in Meade, graduating from Meade High School in 1951. He attended Wichita State University, receiving his Bachelor of Science Degree in 1955. He was a veteran of the U.S. Marine Corps.

She grew up in Meade and graduated from Meade High School in 1955. She was a resident of Gibbon, moving from Hutchinson in 1969. She was a homemaker. On July 18, 1954, she married Ernest "Leland" Dye in Meade. He died Oct. 3, 2005. She was preceded in death by a son, Jeffery Scott; a daughter, Jeannette Marie; and her father
Dye, Ernest 4-15-1930 10-5-2005  b. Meade ks meade co, d. Gibbon Ne buffalo co, son of Ernest "Ernie" C. and Helen E. Holdeman Dye. He grew up in Meade and graduated from Meade High School in 1948. He was a resident of Gibbon, moving from Hutchinson in 1969. He worked for BP&H Tractor, Hutchinson, and at the Turkey Farm, Gibbon. On July 18, 1954, he married Willa "Lois" Heskett in Meade. She died Oct. 3, 2005.   He was preceded in death by a son, Jeffery Scott; and a daughter, Jeannette Marie. He was a U.S. Army veteran, serving in the Korean War, earning the rank of Corporal. He was honorably discharged May 7, 1953. Military honors.
Easterday, Irene E. 8-2-1927 10-7-2005 b. Perryton TX Ochiltree co, d. Meade KS Meade co, D/O Jacob N. and Marie D. Balzer Pauls. She attended Minneola High School. She was a homemaker, worked as a cook and waitress, and worked in housekeeping at the Lone Tree Lodge. On April 28, 1946, she married Blane J. Adams at Minneola. He died Dec. 30, 1949. On July 4, 1958, she married Clinton L. Easterday at Wichita. He died Jan. 2, 1981. She is preceded in death by a brother, Elmar F. Pauls.
Gillen, Dominic G. 4-14-1924 10-6-2005 b. Willowdale ks Kingman co, d. Gray co KS, S/O Dominic J. and Wilemina Ann "Minnie" Lampe Gillen. He attended school in Leoti, graduating from Leoti High School. A resident of Meade since 1946, he worked in the oil field business and at the Meade County landfill. He belonged to Saint John the Baptist Catholic Church, American Legion Post No. 92 and the Meade Helping Hands, all at Meade. He served in the U.S. Navy during World War II. He was preceded in death by an infant daughter, Patsy Mae Gillen; four brothers, Lawrence, Norbert, Leander and Billy Gillen; and two sisters, Vi Ebert and Mary Ann Wimmer.
Mein, Rachel Iva 9-6-1917 6-21-2005 b. Meade ks Meade co, d. Dodge City ks Ford co, D/O William "W.D." and Helen LuRee Marshal Barragree. In March 1935, she married Herbert L. Mein. He died Nov. 1, 1962.She was preceded in death by a son, Lawrence; a daughter, Delila Mein; five brothers, George, Paul, Joe, John and Gene Barragree; and two sisters, Larea Beckman and Sadie Barragree.
Mein, William F. 2-1-1944 9-16-2005 b. Dodge City ks Ford co, d. Liberal ks Seward co, Bill S/O Herbert L. and Iva Barragee Mein. He graduated from Meade High School in 1962 and attended Dodge City Community College. He worked at Halliburton for 25 years, retiring in 1997. He drove the activity bus for USD 480 from 1978 to 2004 and also was a route bus driver from 1980 to 1985 and in 2005. He was a U.S. Army veteran, serving in Vietnam. He was a member of Grace Evangelical Lutheran Church and American Legion Wimmer Post 80 in Liberal. He was commander of the Liberal Disabled American Veterans and a former member of the Liberal Kiwanis. He was preceded in death by a brother, Lawrence, and a sister, Delila.
Orme, Royce G. 7-25-1930 12-6-2005 b. Kingman ks Kingman co, d. wichita, S/O Merle and Lucille Beck Orme. He graduated from Kingman High School with the class of 1948, from Southwestern College, Winfield in 1952, did graduate work at Wichita State University and graduated from San Francisco School of Mortuary Science, San Francisco in 1968. Following his college graduation he served four years in the U.S. Air Force. He then began his teaching and coaching career at Inman, Blue Rapids and Belle Plaine. In 1967 he decided to join his father-in-law in the funeral business in Meade. On April 1, 1978 Royce and his wife Banny took over full ownership and management of the Fidler Mortuary changing the name to Fidler-Orme Mortuary. On July 30, 2004, they retired and sold the business to their nephew. He belonged to the United Methodist Church, Webb Masonic Lodge, American Legion, all of Meade, The Shrine and Consistory Clubs of Wichita, Order of the Eastern Star of Liberal. He served two terms as mayor of Meade, was one of the Founders of the Little Dribblers Organization in Meade, coached numerous baseball teams, was a graduate of the second class at K.U. for EMT Instructor/Coordinators and taught many classes throughout Southwestern Kan., and managed the volunteer ambulance service for the county of Meade for many years.

A resident of Meade, he was an auto mechanic. He belonged to Community Church, Meade, and was a lifetime member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars, Ashland. He served in the U.S. Army. 
He is preceded in death by three brothers, Marion Neil, Paul Kenneth "Shorty" and Keith Sawyers.

Wiens, Agnes T. 10-2-1931 10-19-2005 b. & d. Meade ks Meade co, D/O Cornelius A. and Katharina H. Doerksen Reimer. She attended the Meade school system. She later worked as a nurse's aide in the hospital. In 1960, she attended the Bethel Deaconess Hospital School of Nursing, graduating in August 1963 with her nursing degree. She was the director of nursing for Spearville Hospital in 1975. In 1976, she became the director of nursing for the Lone Tree Lodge, retiring in 1994.She was a member of Church of the Nazarene, Meade, Kansas State Nursing Association and the American Nursing Association. On Sept. 26, 1970, she married Arthur Wiens in Meade. He died May 11, 1992. She is preceded in death by a brother, Levi T. Reimer; and a sister, Lena T. Reimer.
