Snead, John R. 8-2-1916 10-5-2005 b. Danville ks Harper co, d. Kiowa ks Barber co, S/O John R. and Nellie May Morgan Snead Sr. A lifelong Hardtner resident, he worked at Wallingford Grain, owned a small engine repair shop, and was the Hardtner fire chief. On Aug. 19, 1940, he married Iris Lorene Ross. She died in 2001. He was preceded in death by a brother, Jim Snead.
Spriggs, Evelyn May 5-12-1939 4-23-2005 b. Alva OK Woods co, d. Wichita, D/O the late Mr. and Mrs. Elmer Holmes. After Evelyn graduated from Hardtner High School she attended business school at Hutchinson. On January 15, 1982, she was united in marriage to Raymond Spriggs at Wichita. They made their home in Hardtner. She loved animals and always said that there wasn't a bad animal in the world.
Stranathan, Margaret Ruth 4-30-1918 6-20-2005 b. Barber Co KS, d. Anthony ks Harper co, D/O Lyman Ernest and Mabel Hardin Wolgamott.  On June 9, 1940, she married Bud Stranathan. He died Feb. 21, 1966. She was preceded in death by seven brothers and two sisters.
Watts, Robert M. 10-6-1927 6-21-2005 b. Attica ks Harper co, d. Wichita, S/O Joseph Ebert and Mary Esther Ball Watts. He was a farmer. He belonged to United Methodist Church, Cosmos Lodge AF & AM, Scottish Rites, Wichita Valley, Barber County Firewagons, Midian Shrine and American Legion Post No. 175. He was a member of the Barber County Cattleman's Association, Kansas Livestock Association, and was past president of OK Coop. He served in the U.S. Marines during World War II, stationed in Panama for three years, and in Washington D.C. and was in the Korean War. He was preceded in death by his parents; and a brother, Wayne.
