A Great Bend resident, formerly of Pawnee Rock she was a hat maker and farm wife. She was a member of the First Christian Church, Elks Lodge Auxiliary and Racquet Club all of Great Bend, the Half Century Club, Pawnee Rock and the Radium Senior Center, Radium. On Sept. 8, 1928 she married Roy Bauer Sr. at Larned. He died July 5, 1988. She was also preceded in death by brother, Benjamin and sisters, Minnie, Dewey, Joanna and Patsy. Those attending the service are requested to wear a hat in memorial to Katie. |

She was preceded in death by a brother, Willard Schmitt. |
