and six by former marriage—Francis A., Alfred N.,
Sarah, Elliot P., Adelaide and Willie. Dr. Taylor was
commissioned Assistant Surgeon of the 4th IOwa V.C. in
1864; discharged at the close of the war. Two of his
sons were in the army—Alfred in the 19th Ill.
