COMMISSARY DEPARTMENT
The following accounts are inserted in this place as showing somewhat the
method and material of the commissary department at that time. The accounts, as
will be noticed, relate largely to the early part of the war, and the Mount Hope
campaign under General Cudworth. The preliminary accounts having been squared by
Mr. Southward (Southworth), all the rest were gathered in the general settlement
in January, 1675-6. -- In Hull's Journal.
