WE WERE SHORT OF HOSPITAL TRAINS TOO
So wounded were loaded on flat cars and through rain, snow, wind, hail, cold or intense heat, began their long trek back. Some of them reached their destination alive. In this type of car, patients were placed in hammock beds.
