YESTERDAY FRANKFURTERS AND SAUERKRAUT
Fully equipped army kitchen with eight boilers ready for use. The equipment is German. In the retreat the boilers were left intact and on the following day American cooks had them fired up and were serving 325 men that night.
 
THE RAG CHEWERS
The most pleasant memories of the army are of sitting around eating and "rag chewing." Soldiers from New York, Tennessee and North and South Carolina at a "buffet luncheon," American 2nd Army Corps field meet, near Corbie.
