THE 75's PREPARE TO GO INTO ACTION
The 313th Field Artillery, 155th Brigade, 80th Division, Nixeville, Meuse, France, Sept. 24, 1918, prepares to move these guns into the line for the opening salvo for the Meuse-Argonne drive. No previous battle had such preparation.
 
WAR-WEARY, EXHAUSTED MEN
Camouflaged guns and men of 313th F. A., 155th Brig., 80th Div., Sept. 25, 1918. Camouflage will be removed at nightfall. At 11 P.M. they go into action—for days there will be no sleep except for those who will never awaken.
