"DIE WACHT AM RHEIN"
Men of the 1st Div., on guard at Coblenz, Germany, Dec. 12, 1918. A sentry's challenge in the American sector on the Rhine halts all who attempt to cross the river until they produce a pass signed by American military authorities.
 
"SO THIS IS THE RHINE"
