 Bankston, John Merrel
John Merrel Bankston, 67, died at 7:15 a.m. Friday in a local hospital.
Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Saturday at Connally's Chapel, Rev. Bob Evans and Rev. Tom Allman officiating, burial in Dawson Cemetery.
Survivors: His widow, Mrs. Minnie Bankston; two sons, Harold and Weldon Bankston; two daughters Mrs. Jack Hudson of Elm Mott, and Mrs. L.W. Brock of Tyler: four grandsons; two brothers, Horace Bankston of Hubbard and Henry Bankston of Waco.
Active pallbearers: Wilbur Woodall, E.B. Blaine, Alton Kendricks, Verna Florence, Joe Hudson.

 Crockett, Mrs. William R.
Mrs. William R. Crockett, 68, of 2215 Summer died in a local hospital at 7:30 p.m. Friday.
Funeral services were held at 4:30 p.m. Saturday at Wilkerson and Hatch chapel with Rev. V. M. Cloyd, pastor of Grace Temple Baptist Church, officiating and burial in Rosemound Cemetery.
Active pallbearers will be Ray Sewell, B. H. Bruce, H. H. Harris, Billy Kirkland, B. E. Campbell, and Jim Walker.
Mrs. Crockett had lived in Waco the past 24 years. She is survived by her husband, four sons, J.C. Crockett of Dallas, W.C., M.L., and W.W. Crockett all of Waco; three brothers, T. W. Long of Dallas, Walter Long of Mexia, and Charles Long of Eastland County: a sister, Mrs. Oliver Myers of Eastland County and five grandchildren.

Drewer, Willie S.
 Willie S. Drewer, 74, of 1514 Homas Avenue, died at 10:30 a.m. Friday at his home.
Funeral Services will be held at 4 p.m. Saturday at Robinson Baptist Church, the Rev. Carroll Wheeless and G. I. Norris officiating, burial in Rosenthal Cemetery.
Survivors: Three sons, G. A. Drewer of Waco, C.B. Drewer of Austin and Doss Simons of Waco; one daughter, Mrs. Mary Catherine Nothdurft of San Antonia; one sister Mrs. Mary Rosencrants of Waco; six grandchildren.
Mr. Drewer was born in Ohio and had lived in the Rosenthal community for the past 73 years. He was one of the oldest deacons in the Robinson Baptist Church. The body will lie in state at the church from 3 to 4 p.m.
Pallbearers: Sion Strickland, Ed Young, C. A. Woodliff, Tom Hamilton, Freddie Simons and A. J. Magee.
