A funeral will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday, April 24, in Caldwell's Colonial Chapel for Albert L. Prather, who died April 16, 2001, at age 61. Mr. Prather was born Feb. 22, 1940, in Waco, Texas, where he was raised. He moved to Portland in 1960 and held several jobs, including metal refinisher for Hearthcraft for several years.

Survivors include his mother, Vida B. Prather Hicks; brothers, Joe E. and James; and sister, Faye.

Interment in Rose City Cemetery. Remembrances to Mount Olivet Baptist Church.
