Buddy Black 

G. D. (Buddy) Black, 73, of Mart, died Wednesday afternoon. Dec. 13, at a Waco hospital. Services were conducted a 10:30 a.m. Saturday at Littlepage Funeral Home in Mart, with the Rev. Victor Winkelman officiating.
Burial was at Mart Cemetery. Mr. Black was born May 2,1916, in Tehuacana. He had owned and operated a service station m Mart. He married Gertrude Lander on Nov. 2, 1938, in Mount Calm. He was a member of Grace Lutheran Church of Mart. Survivors include his wife, two sons, Ben Black of DeSoto and James R.
Black of Granbury; two brothers, J. R.Black of Waco and Elmer Black of Groesbeck; a sister, Nellie Brusenham of Waco; and six grandchildren.


R.C. Sissom 

R. C. Sissom, Jr., 59, of Watt died Saturday, Dec. 9, in a Marlin hospital.
Graveside services were at 2 p.m., Mon., Dec. 11, at Prairie Hill Cemetery, the Rev. Curtis Holland officiating. Mr. Sissom was born on Oct. 26, 1930.
He was the retired operator of a lawn mower repair shop, an Air Force veteran of the Korean War and a Baptist. Survivors includes a sister, Mrs. James (Dorothy) Gordon of Waco; a brother-in-law, James Gordon of Waco; and two nieces, Sharon Miller and Debbie Gordon, both of Hewitt.
