Funeral for  Frank N. Mitchell yesterday, with Rev. Dr. S. A. King officiating, at the Austin Street Presbyterian Church.

 Maj. John Blevins, father of Mrs. Col. J. R. Pace, is in a dying condition at Galbrath Springs, Tenn., age 69.  Has a wife, 2 sons, and 6 daughters. Mrs. Pace is the eldest daughter.

 Conrad Jackson died yesterday.  He was hanged for killing John Talley on July 16, 1887.

 Geo. W. Jones died yesterday, age 81, at the residence of his son, Raby Jones, at 16th & Franklin.  A daughter is Mrs. Miller Moore.  He fought at San Jacinto.  To be buried at Robinsonville. Funeral by Rev. R.C. Burleson.

Monday July 18, 1887

 John Talley was killed Saturday by Conyers Jackson, a negro.  The remains of Mr. John Talley were buried at Odd Fellows Cemetery yesterday, Rev. Horace Bishop officiating.  A search is being made for Jackson.  Bullet hole in his head.

Conyers Jackson, who killed John Talley Saturday last, was captured, apparently near Fairfield.

Wednesday July 20,1887

 Charles M. Downs died yesterday at his residence on North 5th, from congestion of the lungs.  Funeral today at the family residence. Rev. Dr. S.A. King officiating, he was buried at Oakwood.  Was a son of the late W. W. and Henrietta Downs.  Age age 35, and lived in Waco since 1855.  Leaves a wife and 3 children.

 Maud, daughter of Mrs. Mary and the late Prof. Richard B. Burleson, D. D., died July 20, age 19.  Funeral from the residence on N. 9th.  Burial at Oakwood Cemetery.

 Mr. E. L. Wiebusch, old and honored citizen, died today, aged 64 years and 11 months.  Born in Hanover in 1823.  Came to America as a young man and settled in Waco Village.  Leaves a wife and 8 children, 4 boys and 4 girls, all grown up.  Funeral tomorrow at St. Paul's German M.E. church at 7th & Washington, Rev. Henry Dietz officiating.

 Mrs. Gunnels, mother of Taylor Gunnels, of Valley Mills, died recently there.  Son is in the Meridian jail.

Wednesday July 27, 1887

 Mrs. J. B. Henry died at her residence on South 2nd last night. To be buried today, Rev. C. P Westbrooks officiating. Wife of Prof. Henry.

Thursday July 28, 1887

Funeral yesterday for E. G. L. Wiesbusch.  Rev.
