Mrs. T. S. (Eliza) Jarrard, 89, long-time Mart resident died Saturday evening in a Waco rest home, following a three-week illness. She had been in declining health for about two years.
Funeral services were held at 10:30 a.m. Monday in Littlepage Chapel, with her pastor, Rev. John Harper, officiating. Burial was in Mart cemetery.
Pallbearers were Harold David of Dallas, Charles David, Billy Gillam, Frank Sadler, Guy David and Les Thompson.
Deceased was born March 6, 1875 in Frosa, Texas. She moved to Mart in 1918 and had lived here until five years ago when she entered a rest home in Waco. She was a long-time member of the Methodist Church. Mrs. Jarrard was
a lovable Christian and had many friends who will regret to hear of her death.
Survivors include: one sister, Mrs. Jonnie Buckelevv of Mart; two stepdaughters, Mrs. Guy David of Mart and Mrs. Napoleon Calfee of Riviera: two stepsons, Otis Jarrard of Grandbury and T. I. Jarrard of Waco and several nieces and nephews.
