After an illness of about four weeks George B. Arnold, son of Mr. and Mrs. T.A. Arnold, passed away last Sunday evening at 5:30 o'clock. From the beginning of Mr. Arnold's illness his friends and relatives entertained but little hopes of his recovery, nevertheless about a week before his death a reaction, seemingly for the better, took place, but alas, the treacherous disease with which he was afflicted, renewed the eneregy and the decline was gradual but speedy until the eternal door was ajar and his spirit entered the other world. All medical attention--the best to be had--was given, but to no avail-it was just George's time to go and there was no antidote for the dread Destroyer's sting. At his bedside were his father and mother, and brothers and sisters, some being called from a distance by his illness.
The remains were interred in in the Mart cemetery at 1:30 p.m. Monday. Mr. and Mrs. Arnold have the sympathy of their many friends.
