The funeral of J.H. Shelton, aged 44, nephew of Cal Shelton of this city, took place this morning at 10 o'clock from the mortuary chapel of Undertaker L.C. Puckett, Rev. F.P. Culver officiated, and interment was made at Oakwood.
The pallbearers were: John F. Wright, George Witt, Guy Harrison, D.A. Pippin Jr., J.W. Thaggard and S.H. Clinton.
Mr. Shelton died Saturday night at Carlsbad, near San Angelo, where he had been for the last two years. He was reared here, but left Waco about ten years ago.

 Negro Found Dead in Bed
Justice J.J. Padgett was summoned this morning to hold an inquest over the body of Lemuel Walker, who was found dead at his home on North Seventh Street. Judge Padgett's examination showed that death resulted from natural causes.
