Mrs. R.K. Coker, 71, 311 North Lumpkin St., Mart, died Friday at 6:45 a.m. in Brown Hospital, Mexia, following a several weeks illness. Funeral services will be held Saturday morning at 10:00 o'clock at Connallly Chapel, Waco, with her pastor, Rev. Martin W. Landers, officiating. Interment in Rosemound cemetery, Waco.
Deceased was born August 16, 1882, in Bell county, but had lived in McLennan County for many years. Eight years ago, she and her husband moved to Mart.
Mrs. Coker had been a member of the Baptist church since early childhood, but for the past few years her health had not permitted her to take part in the activities of the church. Her friends will be grieved at her home-going.
Survivors include, other than her husband, one son, F.M. Coker of Vernon; four daughters, Mrs. Lasca Jones of Mexia, Mrs. Inez Eddleman of El Paso, Mrs. Jack Wright of San Angelo and Mrs. Allen Johnson of Amarillo; one brother, S.S. Baker of Dallas; ten grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers: Wayne Cox, M.E. Cotton, Charlie Oliver, Charlie Mitchell, R.C. Johnson, and R.L. Smith.
