Michael C. Elrod, 40, of Waco died Friday in a local hospital. Graveside services will be 2:30 p.m. Monday, October 12, 1998, in Oakwood Cemetery, Rev. Greg Brumit officiating. The family will receive visitors 2-4 p.m. Sunday at Wilkerson-Hatch-Bailey Funeral Home.
Mr. Elrod was born April 13, 1958, in Waco. He graduated from Waco University High School in 1970. He attended TSTC. He also attended Emmaus Bible College in Lubbock. He worked at Time Condor as an industrial painter. He was a member of Kendrick Lane Baptist Church.
Survivors include his daughters: Desiree Elrod and Donna Elrod, both of Waco; a sister, Wanda Stanford and her husband Don of China Spring; a brother, Robert Handley and his wife Cindy of Waco; a niece, Tammy Towner and her husband Roger of Waco; several great nieces and nephews, and a host of friends.

Lucio Borgas, 67, of Cameron died Friday. Services will be 10:00 a.m. Monday, at St. Monica's Church in Cameron, with burial at St. Monica's Cemetery.

Mrs. William (Hortense) Thomas, age 94 of Waco, died October 7, 1998 in a local nursing home. Graveside services will be at 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, October 13, 1998 at Oakwood Cemetery with Msgr. Mark Deering officiating. Visitation will be 6:30-8:30 p.m. Monday, October 12, 1998 at Wilkerson-Hatch-Bailey Funeral Home.
Mrs. Thomas was born on September 4, 1904 in Keytesville, MO, to the late John Wesley and Emma Gill Agee. She was preceded in death by one sister and three brothers.
Survivors include her husband of 54 years, William (Bill) Thomas of Elm Mott, seven nieces and nephews, and several great nieces and nephews.
