 Mrs. W. H. Roy Dies at Home Here Tuesday
Mrs. W. H. Roy, 71, died at her home on South Smyth street at 12:20 a.m. Tuesday, She suffered a severe stroke last Saturday and never regained consciousness. Deceased is survived by her husband and five children, Mrs. Chas. F. Perry of Houston, W. C and T. H. Roy of Mart. E. A. Roy and Mrs. J. A. Huff of Fort Worth; a number of grandchildren and several great-grandchildren; five brothers and two sisters. Lee, Henry and John Mills of Mart, T. W. Mills of San Benito, and James C. Mills, of Houston, Mrs. D. O. Chenault of Mart and Mrs. C. E. Vickers of Mexia. Funeral services were held in First Baptist church of Mart, conducted by Dr. C. A. Sutton, assisted by Minister O. C. Hartsell, at 3 p.m. Tuesday. Interment in Mexia cemetery. Pallbearers: J. O. Bartlett, L. R. Dean, Rex Martin, Charlie Cooper, Frank Johnson and Guy David.


 OTTO FRANK HERING DIES SUNDAY AT BEN HUR

Otto Frank, Hering, 82, died Sunday morning at the home of his son, Ed Hering, at Ben Hur. Mr. Hering had made his home in this community for the past 28 years. Funeral services were held Monday at 2;30 p.m. at the Grace Lutheran church in Mart, conducted by the pastor, Rev. John L. Herzog. Burial was made in Mart cemetery. Deceased is survived by five sons, Leo, Ben, Ed, Otto and Henry Hering: six daughters, Mrs. Will Schroeder, Mrs. R. L. Franklin, Mrs. Alma Kelly, Mrs. A. H. Barnhart and Miss Pearl Hering: one brother, Andrew; 19 grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
