I had a Great Uncle's son that lived in Tom Green Co early in
1900's and he killed a man who lived next-door to him. From what I
heard - Texas just abolished him from ever coming back to their
state, and he came to Russellville, AL., Franklin Co. He ran a
small cafe and made some very good food and my older sister worked
for him in abt. 1954-56 and stayed here a while. Don't know if he
was divorced or just left his wife , but he remarried to a woman
here and it only lasted abt. 3 months, so I was told by her son.
What I would like to know - can you find the newspaper where he
killed his next-door neighbor and send me the item where it is
listed in the paper?
His name was Johnny or John Day PACE and he was married to a Tommie
? Pace. I know both are buried in Tom Green Co., but not together.
It says on the computer that Tommie Pace was "separated" or
divorced. I don't think she ever got married after her first
husband. Her name was still PACE when she died.
I would like to find out his family - kids- and whatever to get in
touch with them.
Can you help me?
His mother and father are buried pretty close to me.

Emily F. Roberts, wife of Rufus Roberts lived in San Angelo,
Tom Green Co., TX on April 15, 1930 at the time of the 1930
Census. She was 66 and her husband Rufus was 67 at that time.
Living with them was a daughter Ethel Roberts, age 29, another
daughter Edith Roberts Marren and her husband James E. Marren.
Emily F. Roberts as well as
her husband's indicate to me that probably they both died while
living in San Angelo and are buried somewhere in a cemetery in the
city. The family, tends to live until they are in their late 70's
or early 80's. Who would I contact to find if there are books of
the cemeteries that would provide me with that information.
Thank you so much for any
help you may be able to provide.
