Services were held at 2 p.m. Thursday, January 25, 2007 at the Higginbotham Funeral Home Chapel with Richard Nachtigall officiating. Burial was at Murray Cemetery. Mr. Johnson was born December 2, 1932 in Eastland County to Joseph ‘Buster’ Johnson and Ruby Maness Johnson. Mr. Johnson was a retired pipeline, heavy equipment operator and rancher. He served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War. He was a member of the Baptist church and he loved to hunt and fish. He is survived by three daughters, JoAnn Scitern and husband Johnny of Gorman, Cathy Craig of Eastland and Lindy Snider and husband Gary of Granbury; three sons, Johnny Johnson of Carbon, Jimmy Johnson and wife Sherry of Gorman and Jacky Johnson of Gorman; one sister, Dolores Walker and husband Fred of Tyler; 16 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren; as well as several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; one brother, James H. Johnson and one sister, Deon Fields. | |

Harry Glenn was born on July 20, 1951 at Gorman, Texas, the son of Harry Glenn Justice, Sr. and Marciel Greer Justice. He was a talented musician and a member of several local bands when he was in his 20’s and 30’s. He is survived by his son, Tyler Justice of Eastland; two sisters, Madge Burgess of Carbon and Nancy Naigle and husband Dennis of McKinney; a nephew, Wayne Reynolds and wife, Lisa; and great-nieces, Emily and Megan Reynolds of McKinney. He was preceded in death by his parents. | |

Graveside services were held at 3 p.m. Saturday, April 29, 2006, in the Murray Cemetery in Carbon, Texas. Sister Thelma Hostetter officiated. Arrangements were held under the direction of the Summers-Bakker Funeral Home of Eastland. Ben was born April 17, 1949 to Ralph Joseph Knighten and Emmaline Williams in Dallas, Texas. His parents preceded him in death. He married his wife, Ruth McCain in Dallas on April 17, 1998. As a young man, Ben, served his country as a member of the United States Army in Vietnam during the Vietnam War. After coming back to the States, Ben enjoyed a career as a truck driver, going 34 years without an accident before his retirement. He was raised in the Assembly of God Church and enjoyed his church family, the Victory Assembly Church in Cisco. Ben is survived by his wife, Ruth Knighten; his step-sons, Melton Ray Kitchens, Jerry Lynn Kitchens, Mickey Wayne Kitchens, and Randy Dean Kitchens; his sister, Joyce Fisk of Brownwood; and many dear friends. | |

He was a retired maintenance supervisor for Birdsong Peanuts having worked there for 13 years. Survivors include his wife, Sam (Helen) Krause of Carbon; four sons, Rodney Krause of Bettendorf, Iowa, Gregg Krause of Lubbock, Jerry Krause of Comanche and Chuckie Martin of Midland; three step-daughters, Belinda Bingham of Seguin, Melody Brown of Kenedy and B.C. Henkes of Cuero; one step-son, Buster Schmidt of Alabama; two brothers, Dennis Krause of Marble Falls and R.J. Krause of Mt. Pleasant; two sisters, Cleo Newsom of Marble Falls and Mary Jo McFadden of Kingsland; 21 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, one sister and two brothers. | |
