More than one hundred and forty friends and relatives called on Mr. and Mrs. William F. Robinson of Roy last Tuesday to congratulate them on their golden wedding anniversary. They were married in the Endowment house in Salt Lake City on March 27, 1884.

Mr. Robinson was born in Farmington February 12, 1864, a son of Joseph Lee and Lydia Foster Robinson. His parents came to Utah with an ox team in 1848.

After the death of his mother, Mr. Robinson lived with Mr. and Mrs. Jesse Haven at Enterprise, Utah, friends of his parents.

Mr. Robinson has taken an active part in the work of the L.D.S. church and served in the Roy bishopric for ten years.

Mrs. Robinson was formerly Esther Diana Baker, and was born in Riverdale on December 11, 1865, a daughter of William and Esther Cole Baker, who came to Utah in 1849.

Her father built the first house and dug the first well east of Hooper between Kaysville and Ogden. She served in the Roy L.D.S. Relief society for 40 years and in the Primary Association for seven years.

Mr. and Mrs. Robinson are the parents of thirteen children, eight of whom are still living. They have 38 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

The couple held open house all day Tuesday and light refreshments were served.
