This letter was written by Elizabeth (Shelton) Morgan of Smyth Co
Va in 1839.It has a return address marked Seven Mile Ford. She talks
about land in that area selling for 50 cents an acre.It was written to
her son Haynes Morgan in Talladage, AL and she talks about how she longs
to see him again before she dies. She died about a month after the date
on the letter and is buried in Thomas cemetery. I have had this old letter
for quite a few years, it was in a box of old items that I purchased at
a public auction. If any descendant would like the original letter
