Lorenza (Toni) Cowley Hart, 91, of Christiansburg, died on Saturday evening, August 4, 2007 after a brief illness. She is preceded in death by her father and mother, Andrew and Gladys Hays; her sister, Felcie Hargrove; and brother, Dewell Hays, all of Jonesboro, La. She is survived by a daughter, Marcia Cowley of Christiansburg; and a son and daughter-in-law, Dr. Larry and Patti Cowley of Blacksburg. She is also survived by five grandchildren and seven great grandchildren, Allen Cowley of New York City; Christopher Cowley of Paris, Texas; Lezlie Allison and her husband, Sean, and children, Joe, Nate, Drew and a baby girl due in October; Mara Barker and her husband, Paul, and children, Lacey and Harriss; and Amy Buehler and her husband, Bob, and baby daughter, Audrey Anna. In Louisiana she leaves two nieces and one nephew, their spouses and children. In lieu of flowers it is suggested that a contribution may be made to the Blacksburg Presbyterian Church, P.O. Box 144, Blacksburg, VA 24063 or to Wycliffe Bible Translators for the ministry of Sean and Lezlie Allison, P.O. Box 628200, Orlando, FL 32862. A celebration service will be held at 2 p.m. on Friday, August 10, 2007 at Blacksburg Presbyterian Church. The family will receive friends at the church following the service. Interment of her ashes will take place in the columbarium of the church courtyard. McCoy Funeral Home, Blacksburg is in charge of the arrangements.
