E.L.Slaughter
Bedford, June 22- Edward Lee Slaughter, 74 a native of
Nottoway Court House, died at Jefferson Hospital, Roanoke, at
4:15 o'clock this morning. Mr. Slaughter was a son of Edward Franklin
and Mary Page Vaden Slaughter and a member of the Methodist Church.
His wife, who died seven years ago was the former Miss Julia
Taylor of Lynchburg.
Funeral services will be held at Oakey's Chapel, Roanoke,
Saturday morning at 10 'oclock, and burial will be in Spring Hill
Cemetery Lynchburg.
Surviving children are Ralph E. Slaughter of Norfolk, Earl
O. Slaughter of Roanoke, and Mrs Terrell May of Bedford. Five
grandchildren survive and the following sisters and brother:
Mrs. Palmer St. Clair and Mrs. Harvey Hall of Roanoke, Mrs T.
E. Atkinson of Richmond, and Harry Slaughter of East Aurora, N.
