I have tracked down the records of my great-grandfather to Johnson, Vermont, born 1838. His fathers name was Salathiel, and Daniel D. Ellis fought with company I of the Wisconson volunteers on the frontier at Fort Union. I remember my grandfather recalling New England, the Greenmountain boys and further the family participation in the war for American Independence. Daniel had brothers, Almeron, Joseph and Webster. I would appreciate any information you can give me in this regard and I do appreciate your prosecution of investigative data. Looking for parentage of Seth FARNSWORTH, born 1827 in Lamoille Co. VT, married 07/16/1854 in Youngstown, Niagra Co, NY to Maria L. SUMNER. Seth and Maria moved to Iowa City, IA and had two children. Seth fought for Union in Civil War and was captured by Rebels and died in Andersonville Prison, GA on 08/01/1864. Daniel FELCHER/FELSHAW married Lydia SAFFORD, daughter of John SAFFORD and Sarah PLUMB in Windsor, Berkshire Co, MA in Nov of 1792. By 1798 they were in Morristown, VT when Daniel witnessed a deed where his father-in-law was buying property in Morristown. Lydia Safford FELCHER was the first adult burial in Morristown. Daniel and Lydia were the parents of John Felcher m. Esther Frisbie; Horace Felcher who married 1st Cynthia FITCH, 2nd Lavinia BRIGHAM and 3rd Olive LAWRENCE; and Sarah m. Jonathan COOKE. Who were parents of Daniel? When and where was he born? When and where did he die? Many records say Felcher. The marriage and a few other records say Felshaw. There was a Daniel Felshaw b. 1771 in Killingly, CT. He may be my Daniel but don't have proof as yet.

Hello Helper, I need you. I have a bunch of info on the Wilbur Griswold (Born in Johnson -1838) family with his first wife, Philura Boyes (married 2-19-1859 in Johnson), and with his second wife, Widow Sarah Manning (married 9-22-1880 in Eden.) Philura died 6-17-1880. Most of my info is solid until I get down to the last of the children. I have Leroy Wilbur born 5-13-1880. Wilbur, Jr., born 1882. And I have Ernest Wilbur born 5-13-1880. Nathan Rice appeared in Belvidere around 1813 on a document asking him and his family (Sally, his wife, Artimas, Sally, Betsy, and Betsy Millet, a minor in his care, to leave town along with Nathan Jr. and Samuel Rice. Am researching Straw family that settled in Stowe, VT starting with Jonathan STRAW b. c 1787 (unk) who d. 14 April 1862 ae 75y bur Stowe, VT along with wife Hannah (lnu) also bur with him b. c 1787 ; d. 26 Jan 1865 ae 78y.Known children are John who died young ae 19y and a son Thomas Akeley STRAW b. 2 Aug 1808 in Stowe and d. 1887 and is bur in Stowe.. Thomas m. #1 Phebe (lnu) and had children: Harriet c 1835; albert c 1836, Daric 1844 and Mary Ann c 1846 who all died young. they also had Rebecca b 1843 and the he m. #2 Caroline J. Rand and they had one daughter that I know of: Mary A. STRAW b 1845 in Stowe. Would appreciate any info on this family. Thank you. Jane
