----Glebke, Frances (Peterson) (August 28, 1936 - June 20, 2009)  

 

Frances Glebke, 72, of Gilman, died Saturday, June 20, 2009 at St. Joseph's Hospital in Marshfield.  

 

She was born on August 28, 1936 in Menomonie, the daughter of the late Oscar and Grace (Yoder) Peterson.  

 

Frances grew up there and later married Earl Glebke on February 7, 1953 at Trinity Lutheran Church in Sheldon. 

 

She was a longtime member at Zion Lutheran Church in Gilman and was very active in the Ladies Aid. Besides the love for her family, she so enjoyed her flower garden. 

 

She is survived by her husband of 56 years, Earl; nine children, James (Nancy) Glebke of Gilman, Eugene Glebke, Karen (Gary) Knapp, Jerry Glebke, Susan Glebke, Larry (Laurie) Glebke and David Glebke, all of Gilman, Dale Glebke of Manitowoc and Sandy (Leonard) Lumley of Anaheim, Calif.; numerous grandchildren; one brother, Charlie (Ruth) Peterson of Dorchester; and one sister, Shirley Haizel of Holcombe. She is preceded in death by her parents; one sister, Kathleen; and two grandsons, Dylan and Cole Glebke. 

 

Funeral services were held Wednesday, June 24 at Zion Lutheran Church in Gilman. Rev. Steven Haag officiated. Burial was at Meadowbrook Cemetery in Gilman. 

 

Gilman Funeral Home assisted the family with arrangements.
