DORCHESTER, PINTER'S PACKING PLANT (1958-1973

John Pinter moved his wholesale and retail business of meat processing from the Town of Mayville into the village of Dorchester in 1971, locating on Front Street. They do custom meat cutting, cure hams and bacon, and make their own wieners, bologna and summer sausage. Many members of the family assist in the work, in addition to several employees. The business was started in 1958.
