Schwigrat, George (10 May 1862 - 27 Jul 1902)

George Schwigrat died Sunday morning at him home on the North Side (Neillsville, Clark County), the cause of his death being a cancerous growth in the bowels. His age was forty years, two months and seventeen days. He was born in Baden and came to America at the age of seventeen, living for a time at West Bend. He came to Neillsville in 1888 and was married in 1891. His wife survives him. He was a member of St. Joseph's Benevolent Society, whose members assisted during his illness and attended the funeral in a body. The funeral was held Tuesday at the Catholic Church, Rev. Hauck officiating.
