Farning, Janie (Marriage - 23 Apr 1902)

Mark E. Welsh and Miss Janie Farning were united in marriage at 9 o'clock a.m. Wednesday, April 23, at the Catholic Church (Neillsville, Clark County), Rev. Father Hauch officiating. Only the immediate relatives of the parties were in attendance. The groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. John Welsh of Pine Valley. He is an enterprising young man and a credit to this community. He recently purchased a fine farm in the town of York, where the young couple will at once make their home. The bride is the daughter of William Farning and is a most estimable young lady. They begin life with the brightest of prospects, and their many friends extend congratulations and good wishes. Young people, such as they, who are able and willing to take a Clark County farm "for better or for worse" are certain of an independent living, and of becoming useful citizens, and should be recognized as an element of strength to any community.
