Borgers, Mary (Marriage - 30 Jul 1902)

Myron P. Pickering of Sherwood, Clark County and Miss Mary Borgers of this city were united in marriage at noon, Wednesday, July 30, at the home of the bride's mother on the North Side, Rev. G.W. Longenecker officiating. The rooms were tastefully decorated with a profusion of flowers. An arch of oak leaves supporting a bell of white phlox, beneath which the bride and groom stood to take the marriage vows was a pretty feature of the decorations. A few intimate friends besides relatives of the contracting parties were present, and after the ceremony they all sat down to dinner. The groom is one of the substantial men of his town in which he has grown up and where he has the respect of all. He is the owner of a farm near Nevins, where they will soon begin housekeeping. The bride was born and reared in Neillsville, where she has always lived except two years spent in attending the Poynette Academy and one year teaching in that institution. They have the best wishes of their many friends.
