Glass, Maude (7 Jan 1874 - 11 Jan 1905)

Mrs. Maude Glass, wife of Frank Glass, died at their home in this city, Wednesday, Jan. 11, 1905, after a lingering illness of consumption. Deceased, whose maiden name was Maude Montgomery, was born at Galena, Ill., Jan. 7, 1874. She came to Neillsville, Clark Co. with her mother, Mrs. Amanda Montgomery, when a girl. Feb. 9, 1896 she was married to Frank Glass and they have lived here and at Grand Rapids since. Four children were born to them, three of whom are resting at their mother's side in the Neillsville Cemetery. A little girl, nearly three years old survives, with the husband, mother and brother, Will Montgomery.

The funeral was held at the M.E. Church Saturday afternoon, Rev. G.W. Campbell officiating.

Mrs. Glass was loved by all who knew her. As long as her health permitted she was helpful to everyone and especially assisted in the church work of the Methodist Church.

At the time of the death and burial of his wife Mr. Glass? mother's residence was quarantined on account of diphtheria, cutting him off from their assistance and comfort.
