Euhelder, Robert (2 May 1883 - 3 May 1905)

Robert Euhelder died Wednesday noon, May 3, 1905. He was fatally hurt in Linster's Mill on May 2nd by the bursting of the jointer. He was born May 2nd, 1883 in the town of Weston, Clark County, and grew to manhood here. He was the youngest son of Mr. and Mrs. John Euhelder. The deceased leaves his parents, one sister and four brothers to mourn his loss. Robert was a young man of sunny disposition and many fine qualities of heart and mind. He was a great favorite among children. His loss will be deeply felt by all, not only by the white people but by our copper colored brothers, the Indians, who showed their respect for him by attending the funeral and services at the church.

He had the largest funeral for a young man ever held in this town for years, teams numbering 62 in all. The funeral was held Saturday at one o'clock at the Presbyterian Church at Neillsville, conducted by Rev. G.W. Campbell and the remains laid to rest in the Neillsville Cemetery.
