Yoker, Herbert (Nov 1874 - 22 Jul 1905)

Herbert Yoker died at the home of his mother, Mrs. Hannah Yoker, in this city (Neillsville, Clark County) Saturday, July 22, 1905, aged 30 years and 8 months. He was born and brought up in Neillsville and served with Co. A. through the Spanish War. Last Feb. he underwent an operation for abscess at Chippewa Falls, but did not fully recover. He was brought home in May, and on Friday last another operation was performed in hopse of prolonging his life, but without avail. He leaves his mother, two sisters and three brothers, two of them now in Portland, Ore. The funeral was held Monday at the home, Rev. W.T. Hendren officiating. The pallbearers were all veterans of the Spanish War.
