Way, Amelia (11 JUN 1865 - 23 OCT 1905)

Mrs. Seward Way died at her home north of this city (Neillsville, Clark County), Monday, Oct. 23, 1905, aged 40 years, 4 months and 22 days. Deceased, whose maiden name was Amelia Raether, was the daughter of the late August Raether. She was born in Waukesha Co., Wis., and came with her parents to Clark County about twenty-seven years ago. She was married to Seward Way and has resided ever since at there home where she died. Besides her husband, she leaves five brothers and three sisters. The funeral will be held at the home this afternoon at two o'clock, Rev. W.P. Barrows officiating.

(Follow on in the 11/2/1905 REP & Press) Mrs. Seward Way died at her home north of this city (Neillsville Clark County) on Monday, Oct. 23, 1905, of internal hemorrhage, aged 40 years, 4 months and 12 days.

Deceased was born Amelia Raether, June 11, 1865; was married to Seward Way, March 24, 1889. She leaves to mourn her loss a loving husband, five brothers, Albert, Frank, Otto, Barney and Edward, and four sisters, Mrs. Louise Phillips, Mrs. Frances Boch, Mrs. Staves and Dora Raether. Her parents, August and Augusta Raether have been dead some few years.

The services were conducted from the house on Thursday afternoon Oct. 26, 1905, by the Rev. W.P. Burrows and the universal esteem in which she was held was shown by the large gathering of friends and neighbors who gather to pay their last respects to their departed friends. The immense floral offerings from her friends stood as a mute symbol of that purity of life and character of the one who has gone to that land where there are no more partings and the weary find rest.
