Moe, Hannah (29 Dec 1840 - 26 Sep 1906)

Mrs. Hannah Moe died at her home in this city (Neillsville, Clark County) Sept. 26, 1906, of rheumatic endocarditis, culminating in exhaustion. She was born in Trondhjem, Norway, Dec. 29, 1840. She came to this country in 1872 together with her first husband Ole Hansen, who died Dec. 23, 1879. By him she had four children, Mrs. John Charles, Haken, Carl and Olive Hansen, all of who survive her.

In 1884 she was married to Edward Moe, who died Nov. 4, 1903.

Besides her children she leaves three brothers: Elias, Ole, and Andrew Peterson of Greenwood.

The funeral was held at the house Saturday afternoon, Rev. Hendren of Greenwood officiating; a singular incident being that Mr. Hendren preached the funeral sermon of Mr. Hansen her first husband, twenty-seven years ago.

Deceased was a woman who was respected and beloved by all who knew her, the beautiful offerings of flowers at the funeral indicating in a measure the esteem in which she was held.

The family wishes to thank all who in so many ways expressed their sympathy and gave their kindly help in the time of their bereavement.
